Write a summary of what you want people to know about you that can be delivered in less than 30 seconds. Make it upbeat and succinct: who you are, what you do, what you're looking for. More than that, and you risk turning off the listener.
Too often shyness is misinterpreted as indifference and you don't want
to send that message. Think friendly.
"Networking" is an unfortunate term because it implies connections but
ignores the importance of true relationships. Networking isn't about
the quantity of contacts you make, it's about the quality of relationships
you develop and nuture.
